Choose the closest product rather than waiting for a perfect match. Under-stairs storage, wardrobes, boot-room storage, utility storage, TV units, office nooks, bookcases and radiator covers all start with different defaults, and the brief can still be adjusted after survey.

Rough width, height and depth are enough to start. Add one straight-on photo, one wider room photo, and close-ups of any meters, sockets, radiators, pipework, skirting, sloped ceilings or tight access points that could affect fitting.
